Get Meghan Markle Royal Princess Look with ghd

I wish I could say that I was as excited as the rest of the world about the Royal Wedding. Sadly, I was not at all. Well isn't it obvious I'm not the marrying kind...

But Meghan Markle looked so stunning in her Givenchy wedding dress. Some said it was too simple but I guess not everyone has to wear miles of fabrics and covered up in glitters on their wedding day. I like it that she even kept her hair simple  in a low bun.

Adam Reed of Percy & Reed and the global ambassador for renowned hair care product brand, ghd shares with us how to recreate the princess look. According to him, the key to this look is to prep the hair to create ultimate base with maximum shine and gloss. The whole look is ultra feminine, silky soft to contrast with her structured and fitted dress.

Step 1
Start by creating a centre parting in the hair using the end of the ghd tail comb. Make sure the parting is strong and is pulled back to the crown of the head.

Step 2
Blow dry out the hair for a glossy base, using the ghd air hairdryer (RM690), which will hold and reflect shine throughout the day.

Step 3
Add loose waves throughout the hair using the ghd curve soft curl tong (RM995). Loosely wrap the hair around the tong to ensure the curls aren’t too tight or precise.

Step 4
Pull the hair back into a low ponytail, at the nape of the head. Secure and ensure the ponytail is tight and finish with a spritz of final fix hairspray.

Step 5
Twist sections of the hair around the ponytail to create the low bun. Loosely wrap these sections around the ponytail to create the voluminous undone bun.

Step 6
Finish by creating loose waves around the face to frame and complete the look using the ghd curve soft curl tong. Direct each curl in a different direction for a looser and softer finish and finish with a spritz of ghd final fix hairspray for hold and shine."
